Mr. Light Copper Plated Stainless Steel Lantern with Shepherd's Hook

Amazon.com Product Description
Faux candle lanterns on shepherd’s hooks don’t come in finer packages, and few are as durable, as easy to setup, or as environmentally friendly as this solar powered, stainless steel version from Mr. Light. The steel is copper plated to add beauty to any garden, walkway or driveway as it gently illuminates the evening with a realistic flickering candle look. Equipped with a flickering amber LED that looks just like candle light, the lantern can be used on tabletops, or hangs elegantly on the shepherd’s hook. The unit requires 1 rechargeable NiMh AA battery.

The simulated flickering candle gives just enough light for the walk through our yard without glare or cold color tones often associated with LED. The metal parts are not very heavy guage, but are of sufficient quality for a nice look, and should be more than adaquate for durability-certainly better than some plastic and resins I’ve seen at home stores in about the same price range. The “glass”-actually acrylic-panals are beveled, adding to the overall impression. Another better-quality feature is the on / off switch, and the rechargable batteries are easy to reach when replacement time comes in 2 or 3 years. My only minor concern is that the end of the hook does not have much of a bend and might not keep the light from sliding off in heavy wind. If necessary, a small crimp or set screw in the hook would probably be sufficient.

My son bought me one for my birthday and I loved it so I ordered a second one. We have them by our patio.
